This is really the last mod I should be doing to the GP. So, I'm not really interested in the Gen V, but that really isn't a bad deal.

I am looking for a lx coupe mustang to start modding because it's somewhat simpler to deal with and I've been planning a HUGE project for a while now. I found a great deal from a friends dealership that I am looking into. Thanx for the info though bro. <--- Didn't mean for it to rhyme like it did lol

i bought w-body store ported supercharger. i did noticed a little difference in power but nothing to much. but that could also be that im already maxing out my gen 3 m90 cuz i got a sub 2.6. the main reason i got mine ported was for my new throttle body that i got

I have a '97 GP too bro and I just remembered INTENSE won't work on that year M90 because the vacuum hoses have to b re-routed or something of that nature. Looks like I only have 2 options now. I was leaning more towards INTENSE though because out of everyone they have the best customer service availabe so far. Well, I'm def. going to look more into the w-body store's offer.

Thanx for the info guys and keep em coming! :biggthump :new_rainf

i had to modify my blower housing when i got it from w-body. the vacuum tree hole wasnt on the new 1. and since i have access to alot of machines i jsut drilled it out and it works perfectly

What else do you have done to the car as of right now? I had an Intense ported one and never had any problems with it. I also second what Scott said and go with the Gen V. Their is alot of info on the Gen V floating around somewhere on here, I belive someone did a back to back dyno test (before and after a Gen V swap) and they gained around 20 whp.

For the most part it's just swapping the blower and you're good to go if you have everything you need. You will need a different LIM to match the Gen V, and you will need a throttle body adapter. Those are the main components you will need. There's a ton of information on Gen V swaps here, mine took me about 3 or 4 hours to do and it was well worth it. You cannot beat the sound of a Gen V. Just do a search and you'll find everything you'll need to know.

Appreciate the info guys. It really does sound like a good idea to just go with the Gen V but like I said that's not what I'm interested in. So far I'm leaning towards W-body stores ported M90 blowers. Any other recommendations are highly welcomed though. :icon_razz

A stock Gen V is better than the best ported Gen III........ Then you have the option of getting the Gen V ported as well. Its not that much more $$$$ but alot more power, and one hell of a sick sound!:icon_eek: If you say it is the last mod for the GTP, make it well worth it, right?
All you need is a Gen V blower, L32 lower intake manifold (or you can modify a Gen III LIM), make sure you have the correct bolts (3 of them are different than Gen III bolts), whatever throttle body adaptor you need, a lower intake gasket, blower gasket and throttle body gasket.

i just put on a zzp stage IV s/c and a ported LIM. I figured id put that on since im getting a i/c after winter. Well I actually lost a pound of boost but the sound is awesome. I think the LIM being opened up caused me to drop some psi. Im waiting to put on my Northstar tb. I know it will be alot better then. If I could do it all over again id just get a gen V. Ill prolly end up doing that in the spring but im gettin it ported b4 it goes on.

Not sure if I should make another thread about this but...

I am currently taking apart my M90 supercharger to send in for porting. Are there any precautions I should know about before doing this and if you guys know of a manual that would assist me in any way during this process? Thanx.
