i have a gen v blower and a 2.6 pully with headers and 1x cam im running race fuel with a custom cold/ram air induction. i have a lq4 maf sensor and 77mm n* tb and im running 51 lbs/ min at 11440hz. not much room left here for the maf. when i get my stage 4 heads and cam i will be out flowing the maf for sure. is there any other way than useing a afc chip to not max the maf?

Ls1,ls2,ls6 maf im sure has more capability than the lq4

it is 85mm, get an afc 2.0 or 2.2 to scale down the maf some more.

i have a afc 2.2 but i was trying to get around useing it till i get my stage 4heads and cam. i dont want my injector to drop if the maf were to max out. im very close. well if its the way then i have more tuning to do.

what about the SLP 85mm maf, like the one TIm uses?

The LQ4 doesn't give much read-out headroom above a stock style sensor... the LT1/LS1 styles will read noticeably lower values for the same amount of air (obviously adjust fueling accordingly before beating on it). Any LT1/LS1 car, or pre-99 5.0(305)/5.7(350) truck/suv had them.

Without AFC interference, the local 2.55/GenV/XPZ/S3H car barely touches 11k at 65-6700 so far, running an LT1 maf.

I know this is kind of off topic, But can post some pics of your car?

Also,

If the phyiscal size of the maf is a concern in terms of your intake plumbing, do not hesitate to use a maf extender of some type.

Car looks like it is taking off like a RWD.

Anyway, A maf extender (Term used alot in Ford Tuning) Takes the voltage signal coming out of the maf and reduces it down to a voltage that the ecm can use. Just like GM has a max frequency the pcm can read, Ford's ecm has a max reading of 5 volts. A ford maf is capable of an output up to battery voltage. With the maf extender being able to keep the voltage under 5 volts, You can now tune a high hp car without running out of a mass air meter. The AFC has the same is doing the very same thing on GM.

if you put spring blockers out back and maybe air springs , You will notice a big time 60ft improvement. the goal in a high hp FWD car is to keep the weight on the front tires as much as possible.

Might as well grab you a gallon of VHT and soak your tires with it. I found it also helps to do a burnout and then hit the tires with VHT with a spray bottle. Trust me. Your tires and 60 foots will thank you.

thats a good idea brian. thanks. do you think its possible my tires dryed out. there 1year old but with only abot 20-25 passes on them. i ran them 10-12 passes last year then they sat in the shed all winter. im considering bying a new set of slicks if its a possible issue.
