Ok i read somewhere that the head bolt torque on my 01 GTP is 37 + 120 deg ft/lb. What exactly does that mean?

Torque spec are

LIM 11 ft lbs
S/C 17ft lbs
If using stock head bolts 37 ft lbs + 120degrees
If using ARP head studs use teflon sealant on the stud where it goes into the block and torque to 10 ft lbs and then use moly lube on the upper threads. I use 35, 55, 75, 80 in a in stock sequence like below. Top row being in the rocker and spring area, bottom being by your exhaust ports.

i think its recomended that u go with head studs with cometic gaskits and TTY bolts with a felpro or stock head gasket .. and i think its 32 ft lbs witha 120* extra turn wich ends up being 65ish lbs, and with head studs you go another 5LBs more..

What the factory requirement is. Unless you go with studs or a replacable head bolt, stay with the factory numbers.

You have the torque spec backwards. That means you torque the bolt to 120 ft/lbs then tighten the bolt an additional 37 degrees. This is only for Torque to yield fasteners that last XX degrees you turn the bolt is what stretches the bolt the proper amount so it can hold with the proper force.
