Would a new muffler throw a code?

I have an '02 Firebird V6 and I want it to make a bit more noise than stock so I want to put on a new muffler + tips, nothing else. I'm thinking of using a Flowmaster 80 series. Would putting on a new muffler throw a check engine code?

If the tail pipe is a larger diameter than the stock one, this will require a smaller supercharger pully to make the M90 turn faster, in order to create the same level of boost that you had with the stock tailpipe. Also the ECM will need to be tuned. Not doing these two will very likely throw a code.

I don't have an M90. The v6 Firebirds never came with a supercharger.
