After I finally got everything fixed on my GTP, it was running somewhat dreamily last week. Great acceleration, reaching almost full boost on asking.
Then this week, tranny started slipping then jolting when catching in. I checked out the fluid and it's at the exact right level, looking a very clear translucent red without any funny smell.
I don't like the sound of this because last time it happened on my Jeep and I ended up replacing the transmission. Is there anything I can figure out about it before making that rash decision?

That transmission problem could be any one of a number of things. A worn pump, defective torque Converter even worn bands, leaky accumulator and worn friction plates. You never know until you take the transmission apart and do an evaluation. Repairing an auto isn't hard, its just a complex matter of replacing the parts in the exact place as before. You canuy the ASTG 4T65eHD manual that explains the takedown and repair process
