when will it all end? do the guys at intense ever feel like dumping the 3800 and broadening their horizons? is this the pinnacle of 3800 performance? how about zoomer, or the w-body store, when will the light bulb come on about making more money with other cars? Or, is it that Intense, and the like are staying focused on the 3800 because it's a solid niche?

So, again....does anyone ever get tired of modding a 3800? Isn't it just tempting the thought of a nice rebuilt 426 hemi.....just wondering>

Broadening a company's horizons costs money. It's hard to jump into a market that already has plenty of proven, popular vendors. Companies like those you mentioned already have a customer base, and for the time being, are seeing plenty of business.

Now, if the L36/L67 and later 3800's stop being sold by GM, their market will start shrinking. But if it's like other popular modding engines, there will always be a market.
