Hello

Got a 2000. 100K
As of late I hear a high pitch whine during acceleration. Thought it may be alternator but took off the sc belt and it went away. Seems the SC has the whine.
Would this be bearings?? If so, are these replaceable, or will I need a new nose drive??

PF

Mods are 3.4 pully, cold air induction, Taylor wires, NGK plugs. Gotorback SC belt.

That SC whine is your friend! :D Hearing the wine of a blower is normal. If you hear grinding or rocks tumbling, then you have some problems.

But yes teh bearings are replacable and yes you can get a new nose drive all assembled as well.

Bearings are easy to change if you have access to a press to get them out. I rebuilt my whole blower for around 70 bucks.

Merc..

I am aware of the normal SC whine. The sound I am referring to was not there before. There is no grinding etc, but the whine is much louder now than before.

Are there instructions anywhere for bearing replacement???

Thanks

Me too...My rotors are chrome now, I want to rebuild everything and turn down the snout while I'm recoating my rotors with dry-film lubricant.
