I have a '99 GT with a pretty decent amount of mods. I've got huge exhaust, large throttle body, HVII, SR rockers, and a huge intake. So I've modded it for the top end.

With my DHP i'm shifting at 6k, but I'm wondering if I should get a custom tune to shift higher, like 6200-6300.

Also, would my stock valve springs be able to handle it? Or should I get some LS1 or LS6 springs? If I did get new springs, would I need new retainers?

EDIT: I know I should dyno and make my decision based on that, but i'm curious as to what you guys think.

I would at least go up to LS6 springs/retainers in order to go anywhere above 6k. I'm at around 6300 now and it feels pretty good :).
