Does anybody know the voltage that a autometer oil pressure sending unit sends out?

I was driving home tonight and all of a sudden my oil gauge wnet from 55psi to 0. I pulled over checked for any obvious leaks and to see if the sending unit wire had come off w/ no luck. I then checked the oil and everything looked fine. I looked in the valve cover and saw oil of course. I then decided to test the voltage both at the gauge and the sender and w/ the car on but not running I got 9.3v and w/ the car running I got 10.2v. The gauge does not move at all from 0. Also, I let the car run for a couple minuites and I have no valve chatter and I listened to the rockers w/ the breather off and everything sounds normal. Do you think I lost a sender?

sounds like you probably lost the sender. Simple check is to get a gauge and screw it in the place you have the sender at. You can pick up a gauge for around 15.00.
