One of the items currently under consideration for the 2005 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series season:
The inclusion of a 13.00-pound class in the Front Wheel Drive Stock category. Reasoning: With the increasing number of FWD performance cars being produced by the OEM comes an increasing amount of interest from Stock racers who want to compete with FWD cars, such as the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, the Bonneville SSEI and GXP, the new Dodge Neon SRT/4, and other high-horsepower FWD cars that would fit into such a weight break.

Thanks to Jack Neal (first person to ever hit twelves in a 3800-powered FWD car) for locating the article for us.
