Just curious on what people think:

What types of things can we change to help our MPG..

ECT?

Timing?

EGR / Lean Burn?

Leaning the tune?

I'm trying to dial my car in for a blend in power / driveability....

Has anyone noticed better city gas mileage with a 180* therm, compared to a 160*, or even stock?

As far as timing, will furhter advancing timing throughout the RPM range provide a better combustion process?

EGR...who needs that :D

As far as normal closed loop operation, with good PE tables in place, is it ok to run on the lean side?

Thanks!

Nathan, a good way to help your mileage would be to increase your timing a few degrees when cruising. Take care to leave the timing alone during hard accel though.

As far as running on the lean side, I would think that would hurt your emissions. The PE tables "should" keep you safe, but that's just a guess since I've never tried it.
