Hello,

I know the L27 and L36 are really similar, but I'm starting my build, and would like to not need to replace the rods should I decide to add a supercharger later. How much power can the L36 rods handle, how much can the L27 rods take, and can the L27's rods be swapped into the L36?

Thanks for your help lads

4-500hp-ish... With an M90, you're not going to have much issue. I ran a stock L36 block at 330+whp (a bit over 400 crank) for years, and added a bigger blower with intercooler later, when I swapped to a very low mile L26. The rods aren't much of an issue in these engines, just some various oiling/valvetrain things to deal with higher rpm pushing cam upgrades.
