It had everything 3800 wrong with it except intake. It was done at dealership(who didnt put the oring in on pcv), balancer, and brake light switch(no lockup or cruise) and a bad coil pack.Put about 1200 miles on it so far.It appears to be doing 27-8 out on the road.I am in new cars weekly(rentals) with my job.None of the new cars have anything on this one.I picked this one up for nearly crusher weight price and did a couple hundred in repairs. It just rolled over 70,000 miles. Now to get the strut part numbers sorted out..

Thanks. It is the only thing I own that even considered aerodynamics when built.Did 330 miles in it today in very hilly terrain and got 26.4 mpg running 72 mph.Not complaining.

All things 3800...New modulator valve, adjustable.Wow what a difference. It downshifts much better.New balancer, new upper manifold and resealed lower.Used coil pack and a PVC o ring. And a used brakelight switch brought the cruise back and fixed the lockup issue(it had none) Hope all is well, she is going coast to coast next week.

Well,I have decided not to mess with it any more.Intake gaskets upper and lower plus an intake,3 wheel bearings, harmonic balancer, alternator, tensioner, power steering pump..and now the rack feels funny and it dropped the water pump today.Enough..

Rough... keeping a 30+yr old car alive, especially one from the early years of EFI and modern components entering the mix, is not easy.

It is surprising there are lots of things to deal with that neat-looking ride.
Vaguely pleasant chat bot... Been watching for a while, and it's kinda interesting to see it try interacting with slight hints of relevance to a post.
