At what number of IAC counts are you considered to have a leak? My IAC counts are 80 cold and 60 warm. My LTFT is 4.7% at idle and my vacuum guage shows -8 or so at idle.

Got it, I thought if it was high there was a problem, trying to figure out why everything looked good but had high counts. So its 0-20 time to start looking for problems then...

Hey Todd get a bigger TB and then you will see some high IAC counts. At start up, I see 255! I also have the LS1 TB :)

Questions...

What are IAC counts and why should I be concerned with the numbers associated with them??

Thanx,
Nick

Idle Air Controller counts is a masurement of how much air the IAC is pumping into the motor bypassing the throttle body. It only matter at idle when the TB blade is closed. Its what keeps the motor idleing since it needs a little air to idle.

Generally, if their real low, its a sign you have a vacuum leak somewhere. The motor is getting the air it needs at idle, so the IAC doesn't have to give it any air, so the counts are low.

Its something to keep an eye on if you've modded.
