Started pulling my buddies GTP tranny and got hung up bad. Will someone please tell me how to get the back transmission bolt out of the bellhousing. I tried for 2.5 hours and finally gave up around 7 am this morning. I am trying to remove the engine so I can gain access to the tranny.

The bolt has an 18 mm. head. Depending on how much space you have on a Fiero, you can either use a stubby 18 mm. wrench and get it from the top, or put a socket on a 36" long extension and get it from the bottom.

It is not in a Fiero it is in a Grandprix. You can hardly see it from the top and you can get a long extension in but it wont go in with a socket on it. I guess I will keep going.

Thanks Scott, the extension worked great. We have the tranny out and I will start my tranny rebuild adventure as soon as my ATSG manual shows up. If anyone has any tips I would love to hear them. Again, thanks Scott
