okay first off I know its a dumb question but funds are starting to run a little low on my build. here's how I sit build wise l67 w/XP cam, ported lim, ported Gen III, heads w/valve. job, 60lb injectors and more than likely a 3.4 pulley and im gonna be running corn. can a scan gauge wait a little while if I keep my foot out of it?

I have never had a way to scan my car until about 4 months ago. I think as long as you know your tune is good and you arent changing things all the time you will be alright.
You will need to scan to make sure your tune is good though.

My opinion is the scanner should be bought first.
Sure you might be okay, but if something is wrong you might not know till it's too late.
Would you take the chance to ruin a grand worth of parts cause you cheaped out on the scanguage?
That's like tuning before diagnosing.
It could be done,but shouldn't.

One of the first things I bought before modding. Somone on another forum had a sig I really liked it said something like "Not scanning your car, is like have unprotected sex with nasty hookers." Or something along those lines lol.

well as of today the car has an on the road due date of may 29th as a birthday present to myself I originally planned on having her back on the road the end of April so this gives me more time to piece everything together. the ****ty part is I know I SHOUPD NOT RUSH but I just want my damn car back on the road! but had a little talk with my buddy (the sensible guy in the. car club) and put it in perspective for me. so the question is now is the aeroforce the only option for a scan gauge? is it worth the money? and does it have an afr function?
