Help!?!?!?!?!

Well I got my tranny in, and all is sort of well, I have a few problems though.

1.) The steering wheel doesnt lock after I turn the car off.
2.) The Airbag light is on.
3.) The PRND21 Display above the odometer doesn't work.
4.) The car wont start with the key, but will with a remote starter.(see #3 for my reason why)

Anyone have any clue on where to start?? There is no connection in the engine bay that I missed to the tranny, the steering wheel did get spun a bit by a friend of mine, when he found out the steering knuckle came loose from the intermediate shaft sleeve. I am tired of not being able to drive my car.

Good news is, after I did a security relearn procedure the car started and stayed alive. And that thing is a beast!!!

But after I shut it off it will start up for a few seconds and shut off, kind of like it cuts everything, it just shuts down even under throttle, its not a vacuum or connection. I think it has something to do with me overriding the Park/neutral start process with the remote starter because the security light blinks and then the car shuts off. But I am so pissed. They dont have OBD II in my shop just OBD I so I have no idea what codes its throwing, and I dont want to risk starting it and drivin it somewhere, and either a) the airbag busts me in the face or b) the steering wheel locks up. If anyone has had something similar happen to them or know what I can do or where to start I would greatly appreciate it

You don't indicate what kind of car you have!!!!! Spinning the steering wheel is the worst thing that could have happened. It ruined the clock spring for the air bag. Your entire SRS is deactivated until you get that fixed. I'm guessing that something else in the steering column has been damaged, probably the ignition switch, which explains the not locking and not starting. Is your vehicle column or console switch? If it's column, you might have damaged parts of the BTSI, which controls ignition lock and prevents starting in gear.

sorry but i dont have any info to help you fix your problem, but i just wanted to know what exactly did you add to it to make it a beast just curious
I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS. And the ignition isnt in the steering column.

P&P Heads, LIM, and EM's.
My steering wheel doesn't lock w/the ignition OFF. I honestly can't say if it ever did, but it is something I noticed a month or so after installing my cam. I had disconnected the steering linkage to lower the cradle. After 13,000 miles I haven't had any steering-related problems.

After you remote start it, put the key in the ignition and turn it to ON (as if you were going to drive it). Tap the brake to kill the timer on the remote start and the car should stay running. Let me know what it does.
well its not an alarm type remote starter, I am talkin about the kind where you hook one line to the starter solenoid and the other to the pos terminal and push a button to start it, sometimes it stays on, others it cuts right back off. I notice after I do the security relearn procedure it will stay on, but if I cut it off, it wont stay on again.
A local GTP member had that same problem with the gear indicator not working and the car not starting in park. Did you try shifting it to say neutral to see if it will start, if it does then the shifter unit above the tranny is not aligned right (sorry dont' remember the technical term of it).
I run a Pontiac dealer shop, and i'll tell you, i've had alot of problems with remote starters messing with things, unhook it and see what you get, also you could have the shift selector switch ajusted wrong on the trans
