The issue that I am having is on a 92 Park Ave Ultra that I just bought.

What's happening is that at night when my headlights are on, either manually or automatically, the radio lights, climate control lights, etc. shut off, regardless of where I set the twilight sentinel switch. From what I understand they are only supposed to dim, not shut off. Also the dash lights do stay on.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

First of all, check all the fuses. Ensure that right amp fuses are installed. Check your manual for the correct amperage. My friend had a similar problem with his 2002 Seville, and the mechanic had diagnosed a problem with the twilight sentinel amplifier unit. Replacing the unit worked quite well, but was a tad pricey. You could get a used but original warranted one for much lesser from portals like, worldcarparts, used auto parts, autocatch DOT com and cars trovit.

Ok I'll check fuses, and look into a new twilight sentinel. So you think the twilight sentinel could be faulty and cause the lights to shut off instead of dim?
