I have a 98 GS that i'm going to install a Gen 5 on. I plain to use a LS1 t/b since i can't find an adapter plate for the North Star t/b. When you run a LS1 t/b do you need to vent the crank case with one of those filters that you install on the oil filler opening? Also do you need to run the EVAP system from the Gen 5 or can i retain the current set up on my car.

Jim, question #1 is a yes. The LS1 blocks it off. Question #2, no idea.

James, for the evap, I think you need to block off the evap hole on the SC, and use the vacuum port on the LS1 TB. That would be the easiest way I think.

I probly can get you an adapter for the TB (I am pretty sure as I am having me one made right now, not trying to start a busness, but I can help a guy out). Email me if you want me to have another made. We've been running the evap on the GenV just beacuse it fits cleaner and the older style uses a vac hose to connect so all you have to do is plug it into the genV. That way there is no blocking anything off. The connectors and the wires will all reach the new setup.
