Well, I am going to start tearing down my spare block I have sitting in the garage. I popped 5 of the pistons, so I am going to replace them all, and put a new cam in it. I am thinking about going with the XP cam, just cause I can still use my stocks heads for now. I am not sure if I want to upgrade to forged pistons or not. Thought about changing the compression, but after talking to some people they have me scared to. Any suggestions for me to do, while I have it all torn apart? I dont want a full race block, but I would like it to be pretty stout, for when I do throw power at all. Thanks for the help.

l32 rods and clevite bearings. You can also have the bottom end 50% balanced so you can remove the balance shaft. I would think the l32rods/forged pistons/ and cleavite bearings would make you fairly close to a raceblock anyway.
