A friend of mine just got a performance pcm off ebay, he has a 00 GTP that only has a gutted stock air box. He asked me if it was ok to install the pcm to test it out. I told him it wasn't a good idea since it's not modded and hasn't had a CASE learn, but I said I check,

so.. anyone?

You can't do a case learn untill the PCM is installed. Doesn't he have any idea what type/make PCM he bought? Performance PCM can mean a lot of things.

appears to be a Digital Horsepower PCM, says DELCO on front, specs in the auction same as on webpage.

I believe they all will say DELCO.

As long as your friend bought a pcm for the year of his car and gets a case learn he should be alright. He will get better performance out of it if he added some basic mods.

I also believe they all say delco. As a mater of fact, I'm quit sure they all say delco. I seriously doubt he will hurt anything by installing it. Tell him to pick up a pulley, then no mater what, he will see some performance gains.
