Hey everybody. I have a 99 grand prix gt with intake, cat back, 180* tstat, and intense pcm and its time for me to delete that stupid U bend.

But, i think that it is ubsurd to pay 75-130 dollars for the "u bend removal" made by SLP or other companies. Has anyone made their own? Does anyone have any dimeansions that they can share with me? Is it an easy/hard install? Also, where has everyone put their o2 simulator?

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

To do this yourself you will need basic skills and access to a welder.

Take off the stock DP. You will need to hack off the U bend behind the cat with a sawz-all and then weld in a piece of straight pipe. You can cut at the right place at the outlet of the cat for a 2-1/2 inch pipe. Then you can either weld directly to the catback or flange the pipe off your cat.

Here is a link to a PDF with a template for a catback flange:

as far as the simulator goes, with just a U bend you can weld in a O2 bung to retain your sensor, or if you want to sim, the sim plugs into the socket and tucks up into the bracket under the car with the rest of the wiring.
