ive swapped in a 5 button dic into an 04 gt base model. worked fine,
it is a stand alone module that reads its data off the CANbus.
only thing youd have to know is the mileage of the dic as thats the only place the vehicles mileage is stored

outside temp sensor is required for the heating/ac system, compass is integral to the 5 button dic, oil life is a sythetic PID generated by the PCM based on engine runtime/conditions, trans temp is integral to the trans/pcm, all this data is requested and transmitted between computers via the databus which on an 06 is a CANbus where an 04/05 is serial and canbuss (transition years)
just get a bigger dic, it'll solve all yer problems
