Current Adaptive Mem -- what does it mean?

Just curious my scan tool trans data info is showing Cur Adapt Mem always stuck at "-15". Does this mean the PCM is taking away pressure for the trans or adding it? Cur Adapt Cel is usually at 0 but does go up during the shifts.

Current transmission adaptive pressure memory. Range from -16 to +16. This parameter is the amount of pressure which must be added to base line pressure in order to adjust the apply effort of a clutch or a band during a shift.
I'd say it's taking 15 lbs of pressure away.
