I'm not familiar with all the revisions between the II and the III. Are the head bolt torque specs the same? I still have my park avenue repair manual because I can't find one for a 2006 Lucerne CXL. It says 37 ft/lbs + 120 degrees for the series II engine.

Yeah, no notable change for head bolts. Just follow the pattern and steps in tightening them.

As far as head bolts go, you would probably be better off using good steel bolts and go with the bolt supplier's torque recommendation. If you ever do this, use ARP bolts with their washers and lube the bolts and washers before torquing. Also, this type of bolt can be reused unlike the torque to yield bolts.
