Went to the track for the last time this year and hopefully last time N/A. I am very pleased with the results as I am learning how to launch on these new tires(M&H Muscle Car Drag Tires 275/50/15).

Run 1: 14.89 w/ 2.339 60'
Run 2: 14.62 w/ 2.099 60'
Run 3: 14.45 w/ 2.011 60'
Run 4: 14.37 w/ 1.97 60'

All at 92.xx, last 2 times at the track I was hitting 93s with a great tailwind and better temps. No wind today.

New Best:

1/8: 9.088
MPH: 75.46
1000: 11.938
1/4: 14.374
MPH: 92.25

I defenitly learned how to launch the truck today, and think it has a 14.2 in it.

Its a complete 96 Camaro drivetrain. Engine, trannsmission(4L60E) with wiring harness and computer. I have my stock 160,000 mile 7.5" 10 bolt 3.73 rear from my S10 with a zexel torsion LSD.

Its a very difficult swap into an S10 because I had to make the engine mounts, headers, hack up the oil pan and crossmember to make the engine fit. The wiring is also fun. A 73 Nova probably has more room in the engine bay and might not run into some of the problems.

I agree with doug. I used to have a '70 Chevelle and that thing was a tank. The 350 was pretty quick but it could have used a lot more power. Remember, there wasn't much plastic in cars back then

Well, im optimistic about the swap. A Nova is considerably smaller and lighter than a Chevelle or almost any other car of its era... The whole reason i want to do the swap is because i want to do something different than the typical 350 small block, to replace the 250 I6 Another reason behind it is if i take a 3800 and use the stroker kit it will be a 4.1l engine bein the same displacement of the I6....... That way i can keep "250" badges on it and make it a sleeper telling people "Its just a six....."

That sounds cool. You're right that year Nova is considerably smaller than the Chevelle. If/when you get things going I'd love to see some pics. There's something about old-school muscle that's just gets me all revved up. Even it is new-school power making it go.
