Good afternoon everyone,
First question ever on here and I am no 3800 specialist. I have a 3800 SC out of a 1995 Buick park avenue and a junkyard find wiring harness, ecm and fuse block from a 2002 GTP with a 3800 SC. Will the work together or not? A little history into my project.... My son and I are building a long travel sand rail and went with a 3800 SC for the power plant. The engine is all installed and ready for wiring. I'm kind of lost her and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The '95 Riviera 3800SC is a Series 1, if I recall (at least the one I had to swap a Series 2 into was), unless yours was a later one with Series 2, then ignore most of what else I wrote next. The Series 1 engines have similar GM electrical components to later models, but are just different enough from the Series 2/3 to not have inter-changeability for basic swapping. Your best bet would be to track down an older Series 1 harness, or upgrade to a Series 2 or 3 engine to go with that harness (there's millions out there), and open yourselves up to the full 3800 market of parts available that made this community fairly popular.

Either way, dig up the schematics to ensure everything you're putting together is right, and help yourself with troubleshooting down the road. I can drop in the occasional connector chart or single system schematic, but you'll want to get familiar with the various information sources as you get it further along.

Hope you get over this hurdle, and it'll be cool to see some pics/vids of this project as it moves forward.

Ok. Thank you for the information. Looks like I'm tracking down a series 1 wiring harness. The engine I have is freshly rebuilt and the sc rebuilt.
