A posi would be the best overall street diff, but normally the clutches in them wear out after a while. Some of the lockers actually click during operation

Limited slip is a generic term for positraction. Posi is Chevy's name, like Traction lock is for ford, safe-t-track is for pontiac, or sure-grip for Mopar (back in the day).
You've got 3 different options for your Camaro, an Eaton (clutch posi) an Auburn (cone posi) and a Zexel Torsen (torque sensing). An Eaton is a traditional clutch posi. The clutch packs do wear out, which is their downside, but they are easily rebuildable and can be preloaded for whatever type of driving you intend to do. Auburns flat out suck IMO. When they wear out they aren't rebuildable and they don't have any real benefits over the Eaton. I've never really studied the Z-T posi but I've heard it's the cat's ass for your type of car. I think that would be your best bet. SLP used to sell them, I don't know if they do any more.
But before you plunk down any $$, see how much a Moser 12 bolt or 9" will cost. It will be more, but when you add up the price of parts and labor to install an LSD, sometimes you are already halfway there.
Even before that, I'd build up your power some more. The 7.5" axle is pretty weak but IMO you aren't in breakage territory just yet.
A locker should be out of the question for you at this point. Typically you need them when you are making a TON of power and still want to stay "streetable". They will pop, click, and ratchet going around tight corners.
