4L65E with 3800

Pardon my ignorance here, does a 4L65E transmission bolt up to a 3800 motor with minor, or no, hassles?

Are there any special parts needed, for a RWD application (tail housing swap, for example).

Are there enough aftermarket parts to get the trans to live at around 400 HP in a 2500 pound car for drag racing?

Thanks.

I sooooo want to convert my 95 SSEi to RWD. I'm going to talk to some tranny shops and custom fabbers about a conversion.

I'd be the first on the Bonneville club to do so!

What i want to do is Turbo the engine, get 3" exhaust, RWD conversion with rear frame/subframe reinforcements, and ROLL

I would probably go with a 4L65E. Would a rear axle from a 3.8L Firebird fit on my car??
