Question FWD to RWD Conversion

Alright, so I know this is going to be time consuming and a tad expensive to say the least, but I am thinking about converting my FWD 1991 Buick Lesabre to RWD.

I know I am going to have to turn the engine 90 Degrees, modify the underbody and basically fabricate a new rear end.

If anyone knows even the slightest of conversions, horror stories or any sites I could visit, please let me know.

Thank you,
-Troy

Save yourself a lot of time:
1. take $10,000
2. burn it
3. then sell the car

Now, you have no car and much less money. But at least you didn't waste 2 years out of life doing it.

Want a RWD car? Buy one.

Headaches And Hassel

I know a guy who made a 99 Grand Prix 2 door RWD using a 4.3L v6 and 5 speed froma S-15 and a rear end from a Camaro. Took him 3 years to get it right and that's when the engine started knocking! He says he'll eventually pull the motor and fix. $7500.00 so far, now an engine rebuild... must be nice to be a semi-retired mechanic with cash!!
