I may have caught a bad batch of fuel this weekend ... so on street tyres:

1st run 13.6 @ 94mph on 6 cyl
2nd run 14.7 @ 94mph on 5cyl

I ended up with only 5cyl by mid track ... 1st investigation points towards failure of no 6cyl, i am getting plenty of blow by out of oil filler.

time for a new engine me thinks

Ouch, that sucks! Check the plugs and if they're bad pull the heads to double check. There is a slim chance you won't need a new motor. Good luck.

Exactly what Chris said. Good luck. Wish you all the best. But think of it this way. If it's time for a new engine that means new goodies can go into it.

hehe, yer i will do a comp check tomorrow, but teh excessive pulsing blow by is a veryy good/bad indication on what is going on. gonna pull rocker cover too just to check for bend pushrod as well.

i dont want to spend big on this car/engine as i am half way through building a 347w Turbo engine and that car/engine combo is a little higher on my priority list, plus i just my first home too ... (needless to say that GF is not very impressed with my timing as we are due to move in 4 weeks )

I am seriously considering atm selling the car once new engine is in and let someone else have some fun with it.

But time will tell
