New trap pb...

I decided to hit the track. It was about 50, but there was a pretty strong breeze. I haven't had time to tune the car, so I was expecting much. My first run, I pulled a 2.4 60 foot on slicks. It was really hard to launch the car. My times were all over the place. I did manage a 12.46 @ 114.3 with a 2.062 60 foot, toward the end. After my last run, my alternator took a crap. I was there with David Moore (DMoore). We ran over and grabbed a new one, and charged the battery. Still woldn't start. The track was about to close, so I had my wife run over and grap a uhaul trailer to get the car home. The track guys had us lock the gates when we left. It really sucked, but I did get the car home.

I think with a 1.7 60 foot, I probably could have hit an 11 today... Oh well, there is always next time. Not bad for stock heads...

not bad being untuned. with the results you had with it non-iced, i want to see some solid mid 11 timeslips now

Yes just the IC.

As far as hitting the track again, it depends... I want to spend some time on the tune first... The tracks down here usually close for Jan and Feb, but if they have good weather in Feb, they will open them. I would like to get some 11 second slips before I do the heads...

so your old 12.42@110mph is with the gen5, s1x cam and headers? what boost are you running? I ran my g/f 01 GTP with stock blower, s1x cam, slp headers and 14deg timing, far from the 18-21deg id like to be at in cool air and did a 13.02@104.xx mph, Id guess a 12.6-12.7@108~mph will be where it ends up once i adjust the timing.

oh, and i ran 12.27@111mph when i had the s1x cam/slp headers and an intercooler with 2.6" pulley. You have the blower and a good TB and maf probably so you should be able to get close to 11s if not hit it. Your trap speed shows its making the power.

Not sure on the boost, I need to put in a gauge the aeroforce only goes to 14.8... My 14.2 non-ic'ed run was on 18 degrees timing and a 3.0 pulley. My 114mph pass was on 15 degrees timing on the 2.6 pulley slipping horribly. Before my alternator went out, I was planning on pulleying up to the 2.8 and trying more timing. If traction wasn't an issue, I believe a 1.7 60 would have netted me the 11 second pass I wanted.

how did you get a s1x and genV to go 12.4 @ 110? I don't doubt the possibility...but man I don't know if I have heard of anyone getting those times with those mods. slicks(obviously), race gas?, what size pulley were you runnin?
