Finally Got a Baseline on the 96 Cobra

I know this is a 3800 message board, But I thought I would post the times of cobra since I post on here on a daily basis.

Passes were made on stock Z Rated Rubber. There was no traction most of the day. I made 3 13.5X's passes right before I went home. Ask Tim King and Super GTP how many times I hot lapped the car. LOL

60' 2.060
330 5.770
1/8 8.786
MPH 81.46
1000 11.372
1/4 13.543
MPH 104.13

I never made it into 4th gear. I was going through the traps in 3rd at 6200 RPM's

I am very pleased for et's given the track conditions, Original 186,000 mile clutch slipping like crazy on the 2-3 shift.

If I can get Chris to go next week, I am going to remove the front sway bar which should help with weight transfer and get my 60's under 2 seconds on street rubber.

Even though I have the turbo mustang, I am hooked on racing this car. This winters plans include a clutch, drag radials, Some type of cold air intake, Possibly a gear. I would like to see high 12's on motor and a sub 12 sec pass with a 75 hp shot of the zesty sauce. With the car trapping 104 mph with a slipping clutch, I believe a 12 sec et will be very easy to obtain.

I made about 15 passes. I know I could of made more. I am pretty sure I got the best pass I could of gotten out of the car based on the conditions. Guess we will have to see what next year brings

Congrats! It looked like you were at a circle track the way you kept going around in circles. Down the track, grab your time slip, staging lanes, water box, down the track grab your time slip, staging lanes, water box, down the track...etc.
Get that clutch in there and some slicks and I'll meet you at the starting line!
