How Can I Convert an 1/8 Mile Time to a 1/4 Mile Time?

For a VERY good estimate of your quarter mile time, just multiply your eighth mile time by 1.553. For an estimate 'range', try 1.54 (weaker launching cars) to 1.57 (perfect launching cars). You'll be dead on the money with this formula. In fact, all ten of the fastest L67-powered FWD cars fall between 1.541 and 1.565.

Scott, why don't you add the factor to multiply your 1/8 mile trap speed to get predicted 1/4 mile trap speed. I would do it, but I forgot.

So if I have to multiply by 1.52 to get my 1/8 to match up with the ET on my PB run does that mean I launched like a girl or the car was haulin ace out the back door? lol

The typical range is ~ 1.218 to 1.275, with an average of ~ 1.246.

My best estimate ~ 12.399 @ 108.25 MPH

And if you found a way to get your launch down to ~ 1.75 I'd estimate your E.T. would drop to ~ 12.21, putting you into the top 25.

Yes, you must have launched like you were on street tires.

what i do i take the 1/8 time plus half for 1/4 miles and it very close
so a 8 sec car on the 1/8 should be close to a 12 sec car on the 1/4
