ecomodding the 3800

Has anyone ever tried to see what they can max in MPG with thier 3800's?
I have tried the acetone mix on the '99 ultra on and off, for about a year now with about a three mile a gallon improvement with no adverse affects,and a good summer fuel mix.
driving nicely with the K&N filter, and a good tune up, seems to get about 24 mpg combined. with the 96 regal N/A, I can average about 30 combined.

I tuned the car for milage, and left MGM one year to drive back to IL. All highway I got 45MPG.

Sucks balls now though the way the car is set-up. With the E85 and begining tune I'm getting 17mpg mixed, 25 highway tops.

i have gotten around 32 or so with blolt ons, but 45?? wow

Yeah, but it was a very dangerous tune...and I had to scan, keeping on top of it the whole time. More than 10% throttle it would detonate, people were giving me dirty looks because I was driving so slow too, lol.

i just got back from NY with my car 30mpg the whole way and its not stock, stage 1x blower cam(in a N/A 3.8L), full exhaust, plugs wires, lifters, intake

I get 32 on the hwy with listed mods.
