I've implemented TCattd's Automatic Image Resizer code which will automatically resize all attached and externally linked images to a specific size. You can then click on the image to have it expanded for you. This will help those with smaller resolutions not have the forum expand way beyond the screen due to an excessive size picture.
It does not do server side resizing of images. Everything is done clientside and it does not prevent long loading times. The images have to be downloaded completely by the client before the script can resize them.

Which means try to avoid huge pics. Don't just throw up a gigantic pic and let the resizer do it's job. Big pics will still slow everything down.
