nos stripping rotors of teflon - myth or fact ?

ive heard rumours that spraying nitrous through the blower will result in the teflon being stripped from the rotors, is this myth or fact ?

As an Eaton engineer confirmed... it's not teflon, it's an epoxy paint.

Anything that removes paint will affect it - gas.. methanol.. etc.. Nitrous Oxide is ok.

I was told that the Gen V rotors won't be affected by methanol but the Gen III will. Not sure what NOS will do.

There's a thread over on CGP that shows that the rotor coating is fine after like 2 years of wet shots. I've had 8 months of wet shots on mine and my rotors are fine too. BUSTED.

I've seen both. Stripped and Non-stripped. If you use a filter setup there should be no stripping at all. They sell inline filters for the nitrous and the gas lines. Some say its the additives or junk in the gas or nitrous that does the stripping.
