Exclamation 2002 Bonneville leak

Hi, just starting here. Purchased a 02' Bonneville (i know, water leaks, front end problems, etc.) but like the car for the price and condition. Found water in the RR back floor after a hard rain last night. No visible water marks on the walls, doors, etc.

ANY suggestions???

Waterlogged....

Brian...

The 2k+ Bonnevilles are known for water leaks, I'll see if I can point a few people more familar with the problems to this thread.

Where in Ohio are you located?

Ed

your door water deflectors are the problem.

they have a butyl seal that comes apart over time. I have fixed mine prolly 3-4 times now.

remove the trim handle around the door handle
pop out the door retainers around the outside of the panel
grab the pull handle of the panel and pull straight up

to reinstall you have to remove the small silver clips in the center of the door and put them into the plastic retainers first

the 2000+ H bodies have these problems for sure.

im not sure how the C body doors are configured in regards to the water deflector.

if it looks like this then you have the same issues
