how to reset service vehicle soon

Hey guys new here I got a 2002 impala police pack 3.8 110,000km the service light is on how do I reset this please and what are some of the numerous causes for this to appear please.

If you take it to Autozone they'll scan and reset it for free, but it will keep coming back until the problem is fixed.

Ok, so go get it read and report back. To reset it you can disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes. But don't do that yet until we know what it is.

cool thanks guys but no autozone in montreal but my autoparts store CANTON scanned it for free its my front o2 sensor thanks $102 for the sensor.Any tricks for removal of the sensor I am going to try and do it in my driveway

EDIT: use anti-seize on the new one to make it easier to remove later on if needed.
