New guy from illinois
hey everybody, im new to posting threads but i read comments on here all the time trying to improve my ride. I live about 30 mins from chicago. I drive a 97 firebird that i rebuilt the engine, deleted the cat and put on a magnaflow exhaust. I now regret doin it cuz it sounds bad..... would putting the cat back on make the raspiness die down?

Welcome! What car is it on?
Did hollow the cat or delete? I know hollowed cats can make things sound sorta raspy. A friend of mine put some Magnaflows on his 8100 Avalanche and it sounds awesome. Not too loud, not too quiet, nearly silent inside. He has his cats still.
Was there a resonator that got deleted in addition to the muffler install?

yeah, putting on the cat will quiet the car pretty well. It doesn't one heck of a good job working as a resonator.
