Thanks!!

Free? not too many, several cheap tho... FWI, get rid of the exhaust U bend. 180 Tstat for starters. Not recommended, smaller pulley before supporting mods. I'm sure more will chime in here. Oh BTW, Welcome!

There are very few things that are truely free; and the closest to free you can come is some porting and polishing of the LIM, Supercharger & heads and exhaust manis. Those will only cost you some gaskets, bits for your die grinder or Dremel.

Thanks guys. I was guessing porting the tb would be about it for this car. I was looking mostly just for simple bolt ons. I would like to put a pulley on and get some injectors and a tune, but this is my daily driver and I want to keep it tame. My cousin said the tranny on these cars tend to freak out with many upgrades and his tranny went on him right after he upgraded the pcm. I dont know if this was just an isolated incident or what. But I already have a fast car just want to make my DD "peppy" and get it in the 13's without tearing it up. Anything you guys reccomend???

As I mentioned in my first post, the 2 best things you can do cheaply, especially for a 97, is replace the intake(gutting on a 97 is worthless) and getting rid of the U bend.

PAU's don't have the U-Bend...
Gutting the intake on my 00 really woke it up. What is different on the 97? Same body style. Did they use a lousy box worse than the 00?
