Series 1 SC injectors work for L36?

I need bigger injectors for my 98' Regal NA L36, and I can get a free set of 28lbs/hr injectors from a series 1 L67. Since they have the same connectors I thought it might be worth asking about.

Will the series 1 L67 injectors work on my series 2 L36?

programming is not a problem, I have HPT.

If they fit, verify the fuel pressure is same. Some 90's injectors will lock either open or closed with high pressure (like LT1 injectors). So do homework first....

I tuned my own pcm...

just to give you a idea.... I tuned my VE and I'm over 100% at the high rpm...

I have a WB (LM1) but haven't used it yet... I can't get my 02's to read over 900mv with out running the injectors at over 100% ICD and over 20ms pw at 6k rpm.

to keep things at under 95% ICD and 20ms PW I'm commanding 12.5 afrc at 6k rpm...

In the warmer weather I'm just fine with the injectors I have.... when it get's closer to 0 celcius (32f) that's when I could use bigger injctors, not much bigger. I wanna keep the Injector Cycle Duty under 90% (I'm at 95% running a bit lean, according to NB 02 I get 850-890mv at full throttle).

Also I can command up to 40*+ of timing under full throttle with zero KR... starting at 30* full throttle low rpm climbing up to 40*+ of timing at 6k rpm...

I have no clue at what point adding timing at full throttle is pointless, 25*? 30*? 35*? maybe 40*? only a dyno tune will reveal that. So for now 35-36* of timing is my max at 6k rpm.

I know I could get away with my stock injectors but I might not be running to full potential in colder weather.

Also... I've ran 15.3 with a aftermarket PCM on a mild day, that sucked because after that I installed my stock pcm and ran the same 15.3 on a hot humid evening (100% stock pcm).... after that I started to tune the pcm and have not gone to the strip to try and get a better PB, I would if the Dragway was still open. Feels like a totally different car now!

The aftermarket pcm I used is LOCKED so I couldn't do sh*t with it...I wish it wasen't locked because I had to start tuning from stock tables and I had no idea what I was doing.

I found a few major mistakes on the stock pcm... one that tops them was at 6%-19% TPS the 4th tcc apply was beying commanded 1 mph before the 3-4 shift!!! no sh*t my tranny was making a huge shutter on the 3-4 shift!
God demned engineers...I'm surprised I still have a tranny.

another thing that pissed me off about the stock pcm was the VE table was at 80% in every box!!!!.. it took me a long time to dial in the VE table.

About the injectors I think I will get the 25 pounders from zzp ($125) if I can't use the series 1 SC 28 punders.

Change the injector flow rate to get the VE back in line. Lowering the IFR to a lower value will give you a lot more fuel so you can tune the VE Table. Get it back in line.

I run those S1 L67 injectors. Zero issues.

You should not need bigger injectors with those mods.
