MSD ignition?

hey new to the site just wondering about some mods
right now i have a K&N filter and flow master 40's on my car with a flowmaster cat looking to get a little more out of it, i kno DHP PCM but what else would you guys recommend for better performace besides boost, was thinkin msd ignition, any1 have any expirence with it?

don't bother with msd. use your money towards something else. i know of a few turbo 3800's around putting down 400-500 whp on stock coils and wires! so the oem ignition system is just fine. if your coils got alot of miles on them or your terminals are corroded you might wanna replace those. i think zzp sells replacements for $25 a piece.

thanks,kind of figured that buts worth checkin out, btw where would a be able to get DHP PCM been lookin but cant find it

you don't have to go with dhp pcm.. theres a few options out there for you, intense pcm, zzp pcm, wbs pcm, pick one.. or just get a tune on your own pcm? your choice. i think basically all the plug and play pcm's offer the same options some with minor differences.

i only just noticed your in kitchener. ontario i assume.. if thats the case you should check out overkill in toronto, his pcm costs like $85 when you give him your old one. or he'll road tune you car for $250. kevin at cartuning performance also tunes 3800's as well.

k this will sound stupid but wat steps do i have to take to take out my pcm or will he do that for me?? also wats the number address etc? really appreciate the help btw, $85 thats a deal

if you get the basic pcm from will at overkill he'll make one for you and you have to give him your old one upon purchase to get the discount. do you have a stock intake? if so the pcm is in the bottom of your filter box, once you have it out all you need is a 7mm socket to remove the harness from the pcm. after you install the new one i think you need to do a security relearn procedure. not 100% sure if that applies to all models, but will should be able to tell you. he is also a authorized zzp re-seller too, so anything you want fromm zzp he can get it for you also.
