Another new short block in the N/A

So far have got some good times, with the short block I put in this spring. Its a intense stage 2, bored 30 over, Double roller and took out balancer. It has port polished heads 1.84in and 1.60ex. Car so far ran a best of 13.01 at 103mph. Thinking of getting a custom grind cam made. Thinking of just dropping in another short block. Any ideas or comments would like to here.

one thing i have always thought of doing which i might with a extra motor is to have someone weld in the combustion chambers on the heads to increase compression with out having to worry about checking clearences and milling the lim. the promblem i see is the weld not holding on the cast/ overheating the heads and warping them.

Or you could just put some new pistons in..... seems like a much safer bet than trying to weld cast iron heads..... /me shakes head

yeah it would be safer but you would have to have custom pistons to reach anything like 11 or 12:1 might be pushin to much.

And by the time you get that far, and take 10 thou of the block surface, buy ZZP's new aluminum heads and take 100 thou off there I think you'd be pretty close to 12 to 1

good point!they should just make the combustion chamber smaller so no milling would need to be done. 12:1 with a sweet cam would be a great daily driver!

Turbo would be great, But I want to see what i can get N/A. Pretty sure this is the Fastest N/A running the stage 2 cam from intense. Yeah heads are everything, Im looking into getting some heads done also. Its been a nice consistant race car with no problems. Thanks for the ideas.
