Looking to mod my 3800

Hey guys, I have a 03 Monte Carlo SS non-supercharged, I already have intake, pcm, and exhaust, got the u-bend delete done also. My question is I wanna go fast with a turbo. I know I am going to have to change the tranny I think, should I buy the L67 motor supercharged take that off and add the turbo, pretty much what I'm asking is what do i need to do period

Thanks for your help

An l67 or l32 block will be good for a turbo set up along with l26 heads, and l36 UIM and LIM.

u dont need to buy a supercharged motor just to block off the supercharger... thats a waste of money IMO, just find a turbo kit for your current motor, i think its the l32 right? and install it, u should be set then

depends on how much boost you are planing to run with a turbo, if nothing over 12psi your stock tranny should hold up (but dont quote me on this, never ran a turbo b4)... you should ask some guys here or even friends that you know that run a turbo.

When running a turbo you want low compression of the l67/l32, not the high compression of the l36. Plus the internals are a lot weaker on the l36. Your not using the blower, its taken off for the top end of l36/l26.

Your transmission will be fine as long as your not stupid with it. IE doing one wheel burnouts and beating the hell out of it.

you could check out consumer auto guide website, just look for your model and year and read about your car, they will tell you every thing you would want to know on there. you can also look in your user manual or even try wiki or google
