You have to realize that advertized hp gain isn't always at peak power.
So the HV3 may be 30 hp, but for the most part its after peak. Your probably seeing less than half of that at peak on a relatively stock engine.
The whp dyno for a FWD car is 250whp by ZZP.
You can get over 230whp on a GT1, milled/ported heads, HV3, larger TB, S&S headers and a tune. And with that, your low end isn't destroyed like other cams.
