Well, it's gonna be hard to compare your engine (LN3, if I remember right) to the engine that is in most of these cars, the L36. You're way behind the eight ball with it, because the hard parts that are sold are for the Series 2/3 3800 engines. Consequently, to compare power numbers is pointless, also in part because you start with less power and torque comparatively speaking.
I don't know if you're planning on L36/L67 swapping yours, but that might be a fun idea, to do that. There are parts out there for your engine, but you'll have to dig a little harder to find them.
Either way, welcome to the board, and good luck in your endeavors.

I put down 229 whp with the stage 3 setup but I believe it is making more power now that I put 1.7/1.8 rockers on and the motor has broken in a little. not to mention I wasn't running synthetic at the time of the dyno.

yea if it was a series 2 that would diffrent story but as for the series 1 motors no headers cams yea but in australia,we have rockers though, the heads you would have to have a custom job on, build your own headers...i say screw it get you a s2 engine and trans to match for alot cheaper

Now you're talkin'! Get it, build it and the trans up as you can, and then swap it all over.
