Engine bogging when hot

ok my prob is that i have a 94 buick parkavenue and up till now she has been a strong runner but recently when my car warms up it runs really rough then just boggs down to the point where my engine wont go past 2k sometimes it will if i pump the gas and or tromp on it but most of the time just boggs so i figured replace wires and plugs and fuel filter figured might have fouled a plug or wire NOPE not it only code i have had on this thing is TP high. one thing i have noticed is that when it is running rough my intake hose and any area around it is extreamly warm compared to the rest of the engine its never been like that before any ideas? ill try to get a video of what it is doing.

Any ideas will be helpfull cause i do not want to get rid of my baby yet

Edit once up to speed higher than 65 runs great untill it goes into lower gear

replace your Throttle position sensor afterwards you should look into replacing your thermostat with 180degree thermostat and the other symtoms might actually be a clogged catalytic converter these two mods together should help take care of the problems youre having

clogged cat sounds exactly right, try taking it off and running wide open or just replace with a dp

you know i didnt think about your Mass air flow sensor, when they go bad the car does the exact same thing you could try cleaning or just get another one from the junkyard and see what happens either way you still need to get that cat replaced

it looks like a similar problem i had with my cat... i havent had a MAF go bad on me but it does look similar to the cat problem.... it also looks similar to when I fried half of all the electronics in my 06 monte but thats not going to be ur problem.

In order of likelihood:

1. Catalytic Converter

2. Throttle Position Sensor

3. Mass Air Flow Sensor

4. Something else that sucks.

The one thing I'm not hearing is misfires. So that rules out a lot of possibilities.
