IndyCGP & Intense Dyno Day Invitation

OK, here's the skinny. We are scheduled, at Cozzolino Motorsports, for Saturday March 24th and (if needed) Sunday March 25th starting at 9:30 a.m. There will be 10-15 slots open for DYNO ONLY (no tune) from 9:30 to 2:30 ish. DYNO ONLY price is $65 for three pulls. After dyno only cars are finished we’ll start with dyno w/ tune from Intense. Dyno prices convert to hourly rate at this point and Intense will pay those fees for the All Inclusive Dyno Tune. We’ll have 15 spots available for Dyno Tune with Intense. Todd Allen has asked me to allow at least 1hr for each car being tuned so we’ll have 5 spots available for Saturday after 2:30ish to 7:30 and 10 spots open on Sunday, 9:30 to 7:30. Dyno spots are first come first served and I can’t schedule Sunday slots until Saturday is full. Intense All Inclusive Dyno Tune pricing is based on how many cars we have scheduled, as follows:

5-7 cars - $475 per car without Intense PCM, $375 with Intense PCM

8-9 cars - $425 per car without Intense PCM, $325 with Intense PCM

10 or more cars $375 per car without Intense PCM, $275 with Intense PCM

To be scheduled for an Intense Tune, I’ll need a $50 non-refundable deposit (unless Intense cancels). You can paypal our club account at indycgp@netscape.net or send a check to:

I’ve open the Dyno Tune slots to all 3800, 5.3 and LSJ engines and Dyno ONLY slots to all cars so if you know anyone interested in a tune from Intense or dyno only pass the word along.

I posted this invite, a month ago, on 11 forums and had no response except the three that are signed up and a couple questions. I talked with Scott yesterday and due to lack of interest (we needed at least 5 people signed up and we currently have three), they’ve decided to cancel the Intense Dyno Tune part of our dyno day. Dyno Day will, otherwise, go on as scheduled and I’ll replace the Intense Dyno Tune slots with dyno tune your own car slots. Dyno tuning is $100 per hr so if you can’t dyno tune your car in the allotted 20min dyno only slot, for $65, you may want to sign up for a dyno tune slot instead. My apologies to Sonny, Derek and anyone else who was considering the Intense Dyno Tune but unfortunately we couldn’t expect the Intense crew to keep that date open forever. Scott has informed me that their Dyno Tune night is typically Tues. night so if anyone is still interested in an Intense Dyno Tune; maybe we could get a group together for a trip to Ohio.

Was this conversation before or after the email I sent back and forth with Scott suggesting that they put something together to outline the benefits what one gets with a dynotune?

I'm not sure when you talked to Scott last. The last response I got from him about the cancellation was between 4:30 and 5:00.

I ask because just earlier in the day I suggested to Scott that he make a sort of 'presentation' as to what all you get with a dynotune. It was a great idea at the time. I would've expected at least a couple of people to jump on the list after understanding more about what you get for the price. I wouldn't have expected no effort on it at all. I'm just rubbed the wrong way by this I guess. Btw Dave, you've done a great job of keeping this event updated. I'll still be there as a spectator at the least.

Man if we can get 10 or more for a tune.........so it is $375.........I would jump right in there.

That's what we were shooting for but we didn't get enough interest this time around . Maybe we can try this again later in the year. Everyone is still welcome to attend for Dyno Only, tune yourself Dyno or just hang out .
