This is not 3800 related at all but you are one of the best guy I know to talk to that might have a clue about this. I have a generic usb to OBD2 cable I have seen it called a VAG COM cable. Is their any software that I can download to use this cable as a general scan tool? I have my HPT and DHP that I can use for GM cars and a few Ford products but I would like to be able to have more of a general scan tool. I guess what im wanting is as close as I can get to like a SnapOn Modus on my lap top. If this cable wont do that can you recommend one that can?

    Thomas,

Saw your post about how you used a Bosch 69225 fuel pump in your 2001 Park Avenue. Do you know if the same pump can be used in a 1999 Regal GS?

    Thomas,
I posted in the RWD swap section of 3800Pro about exhaust manifold clearance - that problem is now solved. DynoBrian tells me you are the one to talk to about a swap in progress. Have 3800II, trans, ECU and most of harness from salvage wreck '01 Camaro. I have a '97 throttle body to avoid the '01 electronic throttle. Local mechanics told me I needed to use a '97 ECU ('01 ECU currently in use) and harness. Also told me my trans won't work and they bolted up an early 4L60E (not removeable bell housing) with compatible plug connection (still have the '01 trans). Brian thinks I should have kept the '01 trans + ECU and disconnect "drive by logic"? This swap is going into an '88 Toyota motorhome. Any help or input would be appreciated, either post to forum or use "jkane@silverleafclub.com" James Kane (aka Seamus McShank).

Hello friend- Haven't spoken in a while but thought you might have knowledge of a problem I have with my 2000 Park Ave Ultra. The lock button and seat memory switch bank on the drivers side doesn't light up. I replaced the lock button thinking it was bulbs but still nothing. The window switch bank lights up fine. Do these switches have their own bulbs or does the light source come from something else? Could I really have two bad switches?

    Hi Tom,

How did your surgery go? Hope everything is OK. When you get a chance will look at my post under FUEL SYSTEM? Fuel Pressure Loss I am from the old school with external fuel pumps, and I have a very hard time breathing gas fumes.
Again, if you had your surgery I hope that it was very successful and you have relief. KEV
